The GNB at a glance
The Italian National Group of Bioengineering (GNB) is a non-profit scientific and cultural association that promotes, supports, and coordinates studies, research activities, and initiatives in the field of bioengineering.
Our mission
GNB represents Italy’s national bioengineering community across institutions and stakeholders—universities, research centers, the healthcare system, industry, and the international scientific community—fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, dissemination, and the growth of the field.
What we do
Through GNB’s activities and communication channels, we support the community by providing:
- News and opportunities: calls, funding opportunities, awards, positions, and updates for students, PhD candidates, and researchers.
- Events and initiatives: scientific activities and community networking moments.
- Training: schools and professional development pathways, with particular attention to early-career researchers.
- Publications and conference proceedings: promoting and disseminating the community’s contributions.
Who we serve
GNB is a reference point for everyone studying or working in bioengineering in Italy: students, PhD candidates, researchers, faculty members, professionals, and stakeholders interested in engineering applications in medicine and life sciences.
