IFESS Conference 2026 will take place at the Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano from September 2 to 4, 2026.
The event marks the 31st annual meeting of the International Functional Electrical Stimulation Society (IFESS) and will be held in Italy for the first time. The conference theme is:
“From Lab to Life: Unlocking Neuroplasticity and Well-being through Emerging Electrical Stimulation Technologies”
The conference focuses on fostering dialogue between scientific research, technological innovation, and clinical applications, with particular attention to the role of emerging electrical stimulation technologies in promoting neuroplasticity and well-being.
The Call for Abstracts is currently open for one-page submissions, with a deadline of April 2, 2026.
A Special Issue of Artificial Organs, the official journal of IFESS, is also planned and will include extended versions of accepted abstracts.
The GNB community is encouraged to participate and contribute to this event, which represents an important opportunity to highlight the excellence of Italian bioengineering in an international context.
