10th Neuroengineering Summer School Massimo Grattarola: Registration Now Open
26.04 2026
The 10th Neuroengineering Summer School Massimo Grattarola will take place in Camogli (Genova, Italy) from June 8 to 10, 2026.
The theme of this edition is:
“Bridge the gap: multiscale approaches in neurodevelopmental disorders”
The program will include lectures by leading experts, interdisciplinary discussions, and a hands-on workshop on neuroengineering technologies. Topics will span the full spectrum of investigation, from clinical observations and patient-derived cellular models to in vivo systems and computational “digital twin” models aimed at predicting personalized therapeutic responses.
The school is intended for junior scientists (PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and residency students) and is limited to 40 participants.
The early bird application deadline (including all-inclusive accommodation and meals) is April 30, 2026.
Following the school, a two-day workshop will take place in Camogli from June 11 to 12, 2026, focusing on the main technologies for designing, building, and analyzing 2D and 3D bioengineered neural networks. The workshop will include hands-on laboratory and computer-based sessions on:
- biomaterials
- brain-on-a-chip systems
- electrophysiology
- advanced imaging
The workshop is limited to 20 participants, with the same early bird deadline of April 30, 2026.
A discounted fee is available for participants registering for both the school and the workshop.
